Test Site Parking: Please park in the Parking Deck on McIver Street. See the parking services page for prices and more information. (If you park in any of the campus parking lots or on the street you may get towed.)

Registration

If you are planning to attend the Regional State Finals at University of North Carolina at Greensboro, then please complete the Registration Form. On Site Registration is possible.

Fees and Expenses

There is no registration fee. Lunch is available at restaurants in the Elliott University Center, the Dining Hall, and numerous fast-food restaurants within walking distance.

Calculators

No Calculators are permitted on the State Math Contest.

Testing and Grading Procedures

Test: All three examinations will consist of 40 multiple choice questions, each question having 5 choices. Scratch paper and pencils will be provided. Contestants should work independently.

Time:The examination time is 80 minutes.

Scoring: Scores will be calculated using the formula: 4 x number correct + number blank. In case of a tie, specific, pre-determined test questions will be used to determine the winner. A perfect score is 160.

Awards: All participants will be given Certificates of Participation. The top twenty winners in each subject area will be given Certificates of Merit. The top ten winners in each subject area will be given trophies.
