Title: Modeling ranked choice voting
Abstract: A popular voting reform is to move from plurality voting in single member districts—whoever gets the most votes wins the seat—to a ballot style where voters rank their choices in order of preference. Maine and Alaska now use forms of ranked choice voting (RCV) in Congressional elections, for instance. How does this work and how might you model it? And at a high level, how could it change American politics?
