Dr. Holt Wilson and Dr. Tracey Howell, have received an award from the General Administration for the NC Quest Cycle XV project. The project period is from 2/23/2017 through 6/30/2018. The award amount is for $153,377.
Professor Sat Gupta has been elected a Fellow of the American Statistical Association.
On March 22, Jeong Sihm successfully defended his PhD dissertation titled, “Modified Binary Randomized Response Technique Models”. He had been working under the guidance of Sat Gupta, and he is currently on a Visiting Assistant Professor position at Guilford College.
The department congratulates our undergraduate majors, Ms. Ashley Jones and Mr. Christopher (Neil) Pritchard, who have each been selected to receive a Student Excellence Award, UNCG’s highest academic honor for undergraduates.
The NSF officially announced the project entitled “REU Site: Mathematical Biology at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro” is funded for $304,959 from May 1, 2017 through April 30, 2020. The department congratulates Jan Rychtar (PI), Olav Rueppell (Co-PI) and senior personnel David Remington, Jonathan Rowell, Xiaoli Gao, Igor Erovenko and Filip Saidak on this excellent achievement.
