UNC Greensboro’s Bachelor of Science in Mathematics program is focused on intensive training and research and prepares students for graduate studies.
Concentrations include Advanced Mathematics, Statistics, and options for education majors to add a second academic concentration.

B.S. in Statistics
The B.S. in Statistics prepares for a career in Data Analytics, which is becoming more and more vital in all fields of study. Formal training as a Statistics major provides excellent employment opportunities and also prepares students for graduate degrees in statistics and data analysis at UNCG and other institutions.
accelerated master’s program
accelerated BA or BS to MS in Applied Statistics (Formerly ADP)
UNC Greensboro’s Accelerated Master’s Program (AMP) program is for students interested in completing master’s-level education more efficiently. Students admitted to the AMP may count up to 12 hours of graduate-level coursework toward both the undergraduate and graduate degree.
If you are interested in the AMP, contact your undergraduate advisor. We recommend that you apply during your junior year.


MAster of Science (MS) in Applied Statistics
The Master of Science in Applied Statistics degree at UNC Greensboro is designed to provide students with excellent data analytics training and problem-solving skills for employment in various settings such as health and insurance sectors, government agencies, and business entities.
This degree can be completed in person or online!
Post-Baccalaureate Certificate in Statistics
The post-baccalaureate certificate in Statistics at UNC Greensboro provides statistical training for persons who wish to enhance their knowledge of statistics, but do not wish to pursue a formal degree and for professionals whose interests require a knowledge of statistics beyond the undergraduate level.
The objective of the certificate is to offer a structured introduction to the basic ideas of graduate level statistical analysis.
