Douglas Arnold is a McKnight Presidential Professor in the School of Mathematics at University of Minnesota. His research interests are Numerical analysis, differential equations, mechanics, computational relativity. He served as president of the Society of Induatrial and Applied Mathematics (SIAM). He is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society.

Alfonso Castro

Alfonso Castro is a McAlister Professor of Mathematics at Harvey Mudd College. His research interests are in differential equations and nonlinear functional analysis. He is a Fellow of the American Mathematical Society. He is also a member of the Colombian Academy of Sciences and was awarded the Colombian National Mathematics Prize in 2013.
