Mathematics Association of America (MAA)

The mission of the MAA is to advance the mathematical sciences, especially at the collegiate level. As we approach our second century as the largest professional society that focuses on mathematics accessible at the collegiate level, educational imperatives, performance standards, technological advances, and an increasingly complex workplace all present daunting challenges and wonderful opportunities for our members to have a significant positive impact on mathematics education worldwide.

Our members include university, college, middle, and high school mathematics teachers; graduate and undergraduate students; pure and applied mathematicians; computer scientists; statisticians; and many others in academia, government, business, and industry. We meet twice a year, once in January at the Joint Mathematical Meetings (with the American Mathematical Society) and once in summer for Math Fest. For more information see http://www.maa.org.
